In addition to the collections of rare and priceless manuscripts, printed books and documents, there is an incredible collection of 5000 valid periodicals in Parliament library. It includes 30 thousand issues of oldest journals in Persian and other languages.

The library periodicals is involved with human sciences like anthropology, history, geography, politics and so on. Those researchers who are looking for precious information about Iran constitution, oil nationalization movement (the movement for the nationalization of Iranian oil industry) as well as Iranian Islamic revolution will achieve rare information through these periodicals.

Payame Baharestan (Baharestan Message)

Payame Baharestan , the librarianship and IT (Information Technology) magazine, is the most popular magazine in the library since most of its writers and editors are the Parliament librarians and the interested researchers and students.

It was at first a monthly magazine, but since 2000 it has changed into a quarterly magazine. Today more than 90 issues of this magazine is available in the Parliament library archive. A remarkable point is that the last 8 issues of this magazine have more than 1000 pages.

Some of the magazine issues are specified for certain subjects, e.g. the ceremony for the honor of manuscripts, the inauguration of Library 2, manuscript restoration and protection, Document congress, Molana ( the great Iranian poet ) congress, Periodicals, Parliament congress and etc.

Nameye Baharestan (Bharestan Letter)

Nameye Baharestan  is an international magazine that introduces manuscript studies. It instructs the researchers how to distinct, restore, protect, study and evaluate the manuscripts as well as documents.

Nameye Baharestan has acquired a unique stand among the other international magazines. The prominent magazine consultants are: Iraj Afshar, Abdollah Anvar,Abdol Hossein Haeri, Ahmad Monzavi, Alinaghi Monzavi ( Iran), Francis Richard ( France), Mohammad Isa Vali (UK), Alg F Akimushkyn ( Russia), Najib Mayel Heravi ( Afghanestan), Seyed Amir hassan Abedi ( India), Angelo Michele sue Monche ( Italy), Aref Noshahi ( Pakistan),  Iman Foad Sayed ( Egypt) and Ibrahim Shabbuh ( Jordan).

In the last 10 years, about 16 issues of Nameye Baharestan  magazines have been published.

Old Press

The digital images of some press which are published during Qajar and Pahlavi era are available in this section. Of course, the others are gradually getting ready. They are: Tazakorate Dianati (Religious Reminders ), Ostovare qom ( Solid),  Davat ol Eslam val Eslam (Islam and Islam Invitation), Al Din val Hayat (Religion and Life), Majaleye Moslemin ( Moslem Magazine),  Aiene Eslam (Islam Religion) and Majmueye Hekmat (Theosophy Collection).
